Diabetes.co.uk breaks blood sugar selfie record
Diabetes.co.uk received a record 517 blood sugar selfies within a 24-hour period following the #BloodSugarSelfie campaign on World Diabetes Day.

The #BloodSugarSelfie campaign was used by Diabetes.co.uk and DiabetesCommunity.com to raise awareness of World Diabetes Day, which occurs annually on November 14.
The campaign showed real blood glucose tests from people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes to illustrate what they have do on a daily basis to manage their condition.
This November, the #BloodSugarSelfie hashtag was seen 4,239,432 times on World Diabetes Day, with 517 selfies received on social media, breaking the previous record of blood sugar selfies within a 24-hour period.
Pop singer Chaka Khan was among those with diabetes who got involved in the campaign, which saw people of all ages send their blood sugar selfies in.
Diabetes.co.uk first started the #BloodSugarSelfie campaign in March 2014. 1.2 million people worldwide saw the hashtag during the first two days and over 1,500 selfies were received.
