Extend your life by not smoking
Smoking is known for increasing your risk of cancer, but can also lead to increased risk of stroke due to the way it narrows your blood vessels and raises blood pressure. Because of these risks, smoking can also cut years off of your life. A recent report found that since 1964, when the Surgeon General first reported that smoking was bad for your health, over 8 million premature deaths have been prevented. Each of these people got their life extended by about 20 years by not smoking. The chance for a longer, healthier life should be all the reason you need to quit smoking today!
