Above normal blood pressure may be too high
If your blood pressure is less than high, but higher than normal, you may be at risk for heart disease. A recent study shows that those people who are “pre-hypertensive” or between the range of normal and high blood pressure, are at high risk for heart disease and death. Having high blood pressure puts you at greater risk for such disease, but those with borderline high blood pressure are nearly one-fourth more likely to get heart disease and more than one-third more likely to have a stroke than those with normal blood pressure.
